NEC Releases Smartia Android Tablet


NEC has also aiming to grab some profit in the tablet market because they’re currently preparing to launch their Smartia Android tablet that looks pretty similar to an ebook reader. The Smartia Android tablet has a low power 600MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 384MB RAM, 1GB memoyr and 7-inch 800×480 resistive touchscreen display.
So, what’s special on this NEC Smartia tablet when facing the strive competition? According to NEC, their Smartia Android tablet is basically the consumer-oriented version of LifeTouch ‘Cloud Communicator’, which is a new technology that we haven’t heard much from NEC. More information should follow up after this announcement. So for the moment, NEC has only revealed the basic specs of Smartia Android Tablet. The features that will come along has included WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.0 MP camera, accelerometer sensor, and will be powered by Android 2.1 OS when released.
